How do we pay for the tour, can we pay be card?

Payments can only be made in Pounds (£), Euros (€) or USD ($) at this time. For coach bookings, we do not currently accept USD ($).Tours booked directly through our website must be paid in full at the time of booking. If you wish to only pay a deposit at the time of your booking, please send us an email (info@keytoursgibraltar.com) instead. The remainder of the payment will then be due at tour completion and can be made online, with cash, or by card.For coach bookings, you must pay for the tour in full at the start; this is due to the shared nature of the tour.

Are tickets included within the tour price?

Yes, nature reserve tickets are included.Unless otherwise stated, tickets are always included within the tour price, even if the ticket prices are amended after the tour has been booked.Tickets are required for all those over 4 years of age.Dolphin watching tickets are not included unless you have booked it as an optional extra.

What if we have already purchased tickets to the reserve before booking our tour?

The price of your tour will be reduced to reflect this. For coach bookings, the price drops to £42 per person.You can email info@keytoursgibraltar.com to book tours online, where tickets need to be excluded from the price.

Question 4

How do I know if I am travelling on a partnered bus?

Accepted Answer

If you have been shown our brochure you are on a partnered bus.Alternatively look out for the Key Tours logo on any tour material or speak to the bus operator.

Where will we get picked up from at the start of our tour?

Accepted Answer

At the time of booking, you will be prompted to select your pickup location.We most commonly pick up visitors from the cruise terminal or the frontier, but we can pick you up from any location in Gibraltar if you get in touch.Coach tours always start from the coach park.We are not able to pick up passengers from outside Gibraltar. The new Schengen agreement does not permit the movement of taxis or public service vehicles into Spain.

Where will we get dropped off at the end of our tour?

By default, all tours will end in the town centre unless otherwise stated.The group drop-off point can be amended on request at the time of booking if booking online.You are also able to be dropped off at Princess Caroline's Battery to walk down via the nearby sites on certain tour packages which do not include them.

Do I need to wear anything specific for the tour?

Not really.

We recommend comfortable and sturdy walking shoes and a hat to protect against the sun. We also suggest you bring sun cream especially for warmer days.

What languages can the tour be delivered in?

Accepted Answer

All of our guides are bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. Other languages may be available on request at the time of booking, most commonly:FrenchGermanItallianAvailability for these additional languages may be limited for larger groups.

Question 9

Can I bring my pet/service dog on the tour?

Accepted Answer

Only service dogs (with documentation) are permitted on the tour.

As the barbary macaques pose a risk to dogs and can be found at a majority of sites the service dog will need to remain in the vehicle for a majority of the tour. Please notify us at time of booking if you will be bringing a service dog so we can make any necessary arangements.

Are the vehicles fitted with wheelchair lifts?

No.

None of our vehicles have wheelchair lifts at this moment in time.

Question 11

What happens if my group is larger then 8 people?

Accepted Answer

We just use several vehicles!

Although our minivans are 8-seaters (excluding Driver/Guide), we can still take groups larger than eight.

We can coordinate several vehicles to operate in tandem, each with its own guide, while providing a unified experience and keeping the journey comfortable for everyone.

What changes if my group is smaller then 8 people?

Nothing!

Although our minivans have a capacity of up to 8 passengers, the per-person cost with us is minimal and mostly covers the ticket fees required to enter the nature reserve.

As all tours with us are private, you never have to worry about sharing with anyone else, even if your group is small.

You can, however, reduce the cost per person by sharing with others if you wish, though we can't organise this for you at this time. For cruise passengers, we recommend Cruise Critic.

Will the cable car closure affect my tour?

No, if you book well in advance.

There will be more demand for rock tours during the maintence period so it is adviced you book your tour well in advance but there should be no change to your experience on the day.

What time do tours start?

Accepted Answer

Whenever works best for you!All our tour packages can start at any time of day so long as they start and end during nature reserve opening hours.Online booking only supports 30-minute increments, but if you want to book for a more specific time, just get in touch.If you are arriving on a partnered coach and booked for the morning slot, your tour will start shortly after coach arrival.

Are your tours suitable for families with young children?

All tours are suitable for all ages.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult traveller at all times, and all children over 4 years old will require a ticket to enter the nature reserve.

We will not accept anyone under the age of 16 if an adult (18+) is not present with the group.

Do tours run on weekends and bank holidays?

Accepted Answer

Yes, unless otherwise stated tours run throughout the year.All operating days are subject to opening of the nature reserve. If we are unable to complete your tour due to an unexpected closure of the reserve you will receive a full refund.
