City Under Siege Exhibition
Upper rock nature reserve
10-15 min
The buildings around the city under siege exhibition are probably amongst the first buildings ever constructed by the British in Gibraltar, dating back to the beginning of the 18th century.
The exhibition itself tells the story of both civilian and military life during Gibraltar's many sieges, primarily the Great Siege and also has fantastic views over the bay.
Recently renovated, the site also now houses many forgotten discoveries from the area, including a recently refound 19th-century olive press.
The site is in close proximity to the lime kiln, and these can be arranged as a joint stop at no extra cost upon request.
